International Burch University became a partner in a large cooperation EU project: “B – AIR Art Infinity Radio – Creating sound art for babies, toddlers, and vulnerable groups”

In a three-year project, starting from October 2020,  International Burch University will be represented by the IBU team and Prof. Dr. Lejla Odobašić Novo from Department of Architecture, as an IBU project coordinator.

Pollution does not only occur in terms of the material waste but also in terms of sound waste. The aim of the IBU team project is to explore sound pollution in urban context and public spaces.  Through the project different existing conditions both negative and positive will be researched. At the end of the project the team will develop a set of guidelines on how to improve the existing condition in BH context.

“As staff members of Department of Architecture at International Burch University, we are very excited to be a part of the Creative Europe Large Cooperation project “B – AIR Art Infinity Radio – Creating sound art for babies, toddlers, and vulnerable groups” together with ten other partner institutions from the EU and the Western Balkans. We look forward to growing our cooperation network within this interdisciplinary team, expanding our knowledge base, and sharing our experiences. We are also very much looking forward to our contribution to the project which will be dealing with sound pollution in public space and its long-lasting impact on all the target groups which includes our own BH community and our University. We are thankful to Creative Europe and to our project partners for this wonderful opportunity.”, said Prof. Novo.
